My name is Steven Van Der Schyff, founder of Busywood Carpentry.
I’m originally from Amanzimtoti, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. When I built my first piece of furniture on my own, it sparked something in me—a passion to create, perfect, and build with purpose.
I later moved to Costa Rica, where I began sharing my passion with my community—one person, one project at a time. What started as a personal calling has grown into a way for me to serve others through custom, high-quality craftsmanship.
